I would like to write a joyful note about this Thanksgiving holiday, and truly as long as we have breath in our lungs and the Lord in our hearts we have so much to be thankful!
However, the Lord has been pressing a message on me, and I do not type this next statement lightly: a time of judgment is coming upon America. I write this as a watchman on a watchtower, not as someone who enjoys the message. Even in my quiet time today, I was led to the verse in Amos (8:10): "I will turn your religious feasts into mourning and all your singing into weeping."
But the Lord is faithful, loving, slow to anger, and oh so patient. Perhaps He will show us mercy if we turn to Him! (Amos 5:14-15)
If the events of this past year have not been enough to gain our attention, He will certainly find a way to get us to stop and listen to Him. I have posted a file on this site of the Lord's word that came to me on October 12th of this year. It is directed specifically toward men who have been introduced to the Lord. It does not apply to non-believers or to God's faithful women. You can find it at:
If God's people, men in particular, do not rise to their calling, we will see greater destruction than this nation has ever seen. It is time for men to let go of boyish ways. If we rise up to the call as men of God, I am confident we will come through the hardships as victors... to Christ be the glory!
