Post Election Thoughts...

Regardless of who wins the election, our role as a Christians remains, including our responsibility to speak the truth in love. When this election is over, there will be alot of relationship-mending to compensate for the religious fervor expressed over candidates and platforms. They will know we are Christians by our love for one another... By a loving response to those who demonstrate their enmity toward us... And by our trust in an unseen reality that defies conventional wisdom. Peace,

Vote to End Infanticide

I encourage every believer to pray about this: God is the Protector of the innocent He invites us to become more like Him How we vote reflects our heart as a nation The only thing evil needs to suceed is for good men to do nothing Where is the one who trusts God and follows His Ways over the inclination of his own heart? Over the ways of man?   We can rationalize all we want, but the MOST CRITICAL question we believers should ask ourselves in this election is: How can I vote God's heart? God will honor our sincere desire to do His will, but He desires that we seek His will.   The time is now! You stand as a watchman on a watch tower…

Prophecy for America

This morning I awoke with a word of knowledge: “God will surely judge the nation that turns from Him and His ways.” Over the past week I have felt the distinct impression that abortion is a key measure in this upcoming election – the fact that it is mentioned so little is an indication of how far our heart as a nation has turned from God. And words resonate that the only thing evil needs to succeed is for good men to do nothing. So here is what the Lord God says to America: I have tolerated your wandering heart for a generation and waited for you to return to Me. But as a Father disciplines His son, so now I am about to discipline you. How I wish you would discipline yourself! But the blood of innocents cry for justice, and I can not hold back My Hand from their defense. It is enough to know that you have wandered so far from Me, but their voice gives fuel to My fire! Only a little while remains, and you will see My judgment upon this land and My cleansing of your nation. I will s

Feeling the Pressure?

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything... Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. - James 1:2-4,12 May God grant His people the ability to rejoice in all circumstances!

Renewal, Revival, and 24x7 Prayer - Part 3

Everyone is invited to take part in 24x7 prayer during the Lenten season. The Indy Vineyard ( http://www.indyvineyard.org/ /) is hosting this opportunity to bask in God's Presence. Having participated in this several different times in the past, I encourage everyone to consider it. There is something wonderful that happens to a place as it is bathed in prayer day and night for an extended period, and you will enter into His Presence more readily. This event is not exclusively for members of the Vineyard church, and it is the hope of it's sponsors that other churches will come and taste of this opportunity, hopefully catching the fire! Here's my question: "Wouldn't it be wonderful if other churches caught the passion of praying 24x7 and our area would be continually bathed in prayer?" Watch and see the whirlwind of release that God will do over the Lenten season in this area. Have things been falling apart recently? They will soon be restored. Please pr

Renewal, Revival, and 24x7 Prayer - Part 2

Will you answer the call? The scriptures say "pray always". This is seemingly impossible if we think of prayer in a traditional sense. But consider Enoch and Elijah who "walked with God" and were taken up with Him to be hidden from this world without dying... prayer is a walk with God! Have you considered the great insult of choosing some short-term pleasure over the most wonderful Being in the universe? We are called to embrace Him! While the Body of Christ has many members, each with different specific callings and abilities, we all are called to pray. And as we pray, we are changed, becoming more like Him. This Saturday, just south of Indy in our sister city of "Cincy", there is a gathering of those who desire REVIVAL. The event is a "fast not a festival". Consider answering the call to change the world as we are ourselves changed. Registration is free but required to attend: http://www.thecall.com/

Renewal, Revival, and 24x7 Prayer - Part 1

Mon Jan 7, 2008 10:59pm I have good news to bring great joy: God the Father wants a RENEWED relationship with YOU! Are we so close to God already that this news shouldn't blow us away? Do we realize what a tremendous privilege this is? Father God sits on His throne with angelic beings surrounding Him... angelic beings so wonderfully powerful that the very sight of them would cause us to faint... beings so wonderful that our hearts would soar to see a fraction of just THEIR beauty... beings who know that they pale to insignificance compared to the Almighty, El Shaddai. How arrogant is man to presume worthy... or to take His love for granted! Yet, still, the Creator of Everything wants a relationship to lavish His love upon US, His people, whom He has loved long before we returned His love. He loves us even when our love smolders rather than burning intensely. So, rejoice in the Good News that Jesus' death bought for us on the cross! Although this world seems to offer so
